Full bios:

Sasha Witteveen is a versatile double bassist and has won first prize at many national and international competitions such as the International Youth Bass Competition in Lucca, the Britten Contrabas Competition, the Princess Christina Concours and the Viennese Bass Days Competition. Sasha is active as a soloist and has given concerts at the Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, DeLaMar Theater, Philharmonie Haarlem, Wiener Musikverein, Melkweg Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw, and more. She played at festivals such as the Dutch Double Bass Festival, Internationaal Kamer Muziek Festival Schiermonnikoog, Grachtenfestival, Stift International Music Festival, NPO Radio 4, Ziel Festival, Klassiek op het Amstelveld, Wonderfeel, the Leidse Hofjes Concerten and Festival Classique. She has performed as a soloist with LUDWIG, the Residentie Orkest, the Nederlands Jeugd Strijkorkest, the Britten Jeugd Strijkorkest, the LGT Young Soloists, the Kennemer Jeugd Orkest and the Jonge Strijkers Nederland. Sasha is a finalist of the Dutch Classical Talent 22/23 and thus performed her tour ‘Into the light’ in fifteen major concert stages in the Netherlands. Sasha regularly plays chamber and orchestral music and she often collaborates with other promising young musicians such as violinist Hawijch Elders and pianist Nikola Meeuwsen. Since 2020 she has been performing with the prestigious European Union Youth Orchestra, which has led to the opportunity to collaborate with the world's greatest conductors such as Vasily Petrenko and Iván Fischer. She is currently an academist with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and formerly with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Since 2018 she is part of the LGT Young Soloists, an international string ensemble with which she performs in prestigious venues in world cities such as Vienna, Hong Kong and Singapore. Sasha studies with Olivier Thiery and Naomi Shaham at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She took masterclasses with Rick Stotijn, Božo Paradžik, Matthew McDonald, Wies de Boevé, Dominic Seldis, Gary Karr, Theotime Voisin, Ximo Riera and Nicholas Schwartz.

Jorian van Nee was born in 1999. He follows lessons from Frank Peters at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He played with several orchestras, including Sinfonia Rotterdam with Renchang Fu, the Yehudi Menuhin orchestra with Malcolm Singer, and the Residentie Orkest in The Hague where he played the Mozart pianoconcert KV449 with Lawrence Foster as conductor. He played several times live on national radio and on television in “De wereld draait door” and “Studio Witteman”. In 2013, he won a first prize at the Prinses Christina Concours as well as a first prize at the composition competition of the Prinses Christina Concours. In 2015, he won the best accompaniment price at the Prinses Christina Concours. He also won prizes at the Young Pianist Foundation and the Peter de Grote Festival.
