Echoes of Earth and Soul

Goodmesh Salon is delighted to open the new concert season with an extraordinary evening dedicated to one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary classical music: Fazıl Say.

Award-winning violinist Ayben Özdemir and pianist Liliia Mitronina present the complete cycle of Say's three violin sonatas in an intimate salon setting. Together, these remarkable works form a powerful musical journey—from the inner world of memory and identity, through the beauty and vulnerability of nature, to resilience, hope, and the unspoken emotions that connect us all.

Ayben and Liliia began their collaboration in 2023 and quickly established themselves on the Swiss chamber music scene. Following their First Prize at the Ernesto Conrad Competition, they performed Fazıl Say's Mount Ida Sonata at the KKL Luzern in the presence of the composer himself. Their current tour through Switzerland and the Netherlands also features his recently premiered Violin Sonata No. 3 – Lost Screams.

More than a concert, this evening invites you into the unique atmosphere of the Goodmesh Salon — where outstanding musicians perform at close range, and where music continues beyond the final note.
