Over het evenement

Ukrainian pianist Sofiia Dorosh presents a rich and expressive solo piano programme, bringing together Romantic intensity, poetic lyricism and vivid musical colour. The programme moves from the dramatic storytelling of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov to the refinement of Chopin, the dreamlike atmosphere of Debussy, the brilliance of Ravel and the grand character of Schumann.


At only 17 years old, Sofiia is already an experienced performer. She studies at the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague and the Kyiv State Music Lysenko Lyceum. Since moving to the Netherlands at the beginning of the war in March 2022, she has performed at venues including Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, on Podium Klassiek, MAX television, and at various festivals.

Sofiia Dorosh


Sofiia Dorosh is a 17-year-old Ukrainian pianist and a student of the Davidsbündler Music Academy and Kyiv State Music Lysenko Lyceum. Together with her professor Tetiana Abaieva, she moved to the Netherlands at the beginning of the war in March 2022. She currently continues her piano studies with Ukrainian piano professors Tetiana Abaieva and Borys Fedorov at Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague.


Sofiia is a laureate and winner of many all-Ukrainian and international competitions. Her recent achievements include the absolute first prize at the 2nd Great Piano Masters International Piano Competition Rudolf Kehrer Edition 2022, the absolute first prize at the Orbetello Junior International Piano Competition 2023, second prize at the Prinses Marianne Concours 2023, and first prize at the Rijmond Music Prize.


Since her arrival in the Netherlands, Sofiia has performed widely, including at benefit concerts for Ukraine, festivals such as Stift Festival and Oranjewoud Festival, the Kleine Zaal of Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra. In 2025, she also took part in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Young project, performing in the Grote Zaal of the Concertgebouw, at SAIL Festival Amsterdam and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
